This call aims at supporting the best foreign students during their Master's degree, their Doctorate or Engineering diploma at UCA.

Fields of study

The eligible fields of study are as follows:

  • For Science and Technology:
    • Biology and Health;
    • Ecological Transition;
    • Mathematics and Digital sciences;
    • Engineering sciences.
  • For Humanities and Social Sciences:
    • History, French language and civilization;
    • Law and political science;
    • Economics and management.
Duration of the scholarship

The duration of the funding requested can be:

Master's level:

  • a maximum of 12 months when enrolling in an M2;
  • a maximum of 24 months when enrolling in an M1;
  • a maximum of 36 months for the completion of an engineering degree.

Doctorate level:

  • 36 months for a registration as first year PhD student (newcomer only);
  • 6 to 18 months according to the registration year, for all students, and notably for PhD students registered in codirection or joint supervision:
    • 6 months for a registration as third year PhD student;
    • 12 months for a registration as second year PhD student;
    • 18 months for a registration as first year PhD student.
Eligibility criteria

Nationality

This program is only for candidates of foreign nationality. Candidates with dual nationality, with one of whom is French, are not eligible.
 

Geographical location

At the Master's level, candidates currently studying in France are not eligible.

At the doctoral level, students studying abroad have priority over those already residing in France.

Age

At the Master's level, the candidate must be less than 25 years old at the time of the 2024 call; i.e. born after March 31, 1998.

At the Doctorate level, the candidate must be less than 30 years old at the time of the 2024 call; i.e. born after March 31, 1993.

Additional scholarships

Foreign students who are already receiving a French government scholarship under another program at the time of application are not eligible, even if it is a scholarship that only covers social security.

In addition, the application of a student whose file was not selected during a previous selection process is not eligible, even if the application is submitted by a different institution or in another field of study.

The application of a student who has already benefited from an Eiffel scholarship at the Master's level is not admissible for this same level.

Calendar

1st step: pre-selection of candidates by the UCA from October 2023

Firstly, you must contact the person in charge of the program you are interested in to submit your study project and your application for the scholarship. At this time, you must attest your level of excellence by submitting your transcripts from the last three years, your letters of recommendation, your ranking in your last graduating class, your CV, your written professional project, your language certificate or diploma, your distinctions, a photocopy of your passport, and any other document required for this application.
 

2nd step: before December 8, 2023

If the course director accepts your application, he or she will directly complete your Eiffel scholarship file. The application will then be processed by the International Relations Office and then by Campus France.
 

3rd step: first week of April 2024
