These diplomas are designed for foreign students who would like to pursue studies in higher education in France, The main objective is to acquire necessary linguistic cultural and methodological skills to suceed in their studies.

Our courses are adapted to students' French level according to the recommendations of CECR (European Common framework reference for languages) : Each diploma is designed to obtain one level of french language (except for C1 = one year).

In each diploma, according to the students' level and in addition to the linguistic and cultural courses, we therefore offer the following courses:
  • Introduction to the French academic methodology
  • French courses with specific objectives
  • Introduction to reasoning and argumentation skills
Thanks to the high volume of class hours per week and a strengthened pedagogical support, students will have all the chances to progress quickly.

General Information:

  • Duration? 1 semester (From A1 to B2) or 2 semesters (C1)
  • Beginning of the courses? September or Februray
  • Number of class hours? From 222 hours to 260 hours per semester
  • Level? From A1 to C1

In order to determine students' French level at their arrival, our pedagogical team organize a mandatory French test with the following stages:

  • An online test
  • An oral interview
  • A written test for students who have at least the A2 level
At the end of the semester, if students succeed in their final exams (an average of 10/20 minimum), they will obtain the diploma and pursue their studies in an higer level. In some instances, the DUEF allows students to pursue their studies at the Clermont Auvergne University.
